A Woman's Place is an exclusive, private home for senior adult ladies only. We provide residential and personalized support services to those who need assistance with activities of daily living but who DO NOT need skilled medical care.
Situated on 9.5 acres, and conveniently located between South Austin and San Marcos, A Woman's Place provides a clean, secure, and safe "home-like" atmosphere designed to enhance the quality of life of your senior family member.
Residents can enjoy the companionship of others in an extended family atmosphere or retreat to the privacy of their spacious bedroomwhich is cable & telephone ready.
We offer three well-prepared, nutritious meals daily plus snacks, 24 hours a day personal care, housekeeping & laundry service, assistance with medication, professional health care, interaction with pets if desired, and a quiet, peaceful, safe environment. Only a small group of ladies at a time reside at A Woman's Place.
THE FOLLOWING ATMOSPHERE & SERVICES ARE ALSO PROVIDED:
*Scheduled transportation to doctor appt's, shopping, etc.
* Social and/or recreational activities
* Monthly rates include rent, utilities and local calls
* Adult day care is also provided upon availability
* Licensed Massage Therapist on Staff (not included in monthly rent)
* Cable TV and private telephone line available at resident's expense
* Emergency help always readily available
* Physician available that makes house calls
What is Residential Care?
Residential Care provides a living arrangement in which housing, meals, help with activities of daily living and protective supervision are provided for individuals who cannot live independently, but do not require institutional care.
Residential Care Homes provide a family-like atmosphere for older persons that for some reason can no longer live alone, but can exercise a fair degree of independence in a home-like setting with some assistance and oversight.
Resident Eligibility:
* 60 years old and above but can be younger, unable to live alone
* Require assistance with personal care
* Ambulatory, but will consider non-ambulatory, depending on circumstances
* May be confused or incontinent
* Recuperating from hospitalization or surgery
* In need of respite care
