Activities abound at Autumn Winds and we are sure there is something you will find of interest to you. Our certified activity directors or activity aide plan a calendar full of events each month that will keep you busy as you would like. All of the activities are designed with our residents in mind. Social events such as birthday and holiday parties, bingo, bunco, and dances are part of the program. We also have music venues that allow for dancing, singing, or just for your listening pleasure.
Bible study, Sunday morning worship and other religious programming fill our spiritual needs. Our exercise class is designed to keep you physically fit. Opportunities for cooking and doing crafts also fill the day. An annual Christmas bazaar is an opportunity for us to sell our handicrafts and showcase our hard work. We are not content to always be home so we often plan outings to a local attraction, lunch out, or shopping. Of course our wonderful volunteers assist in making our activities program even more entertaining. Every year at our volunteer appreciation dinner we recognize over a hundred volunteers who help in all areas of activities.
A recent addition to our activities program is a Wii, thanks to our rehab friends at TeamCare Rehab. The Wii provides us with fun but also improves our dexterity, mental alertness, and coordination.
If you don’t like what is on the calendar we can always assist you in coordinating an activity of your own choosing.
