Harbourview is a care center that actually describes its surroundings: part of League City, nestled in the quaint community of South Shore Harbor. Harbourview is surrounded by the vacation and resort areas bordering Galveston Bay. League City, with a moderate population of 30,000 residents, reflects the charm of an elite community, while providing all the pleasures available in the city of Houston.
The residents living areas of Harbourview differ from room to room and wing to wing, offering various room arrangements. If a specific décor or room attracts you, please discuss with the Harbourview Representative.

Harbourview is a non-profit board directed community near the Kemah waterfront in the quaint League City community of South Shore Harbour. Offers a 217 bed nursing home with Medicare, Medicaid, and Assisted Living available beds. In-house Therapy Department with animal assisted therapy, selective menu, Medicare / Medicaid certified, admission 24 hours per day. Resident can be admitted with personal domestic pets following a screening process. I.V. and medically complex beds available.

We designed our healthcare center to be the utmost in comfort while providing an ambiance of quiet elegance.
The Activity Department invites you to come by and visit with our residents. Our residents are busy throughout the day in one of our many diversified programs offered to them. Our programs are designed to provide opportunities for each resident to meet their social, physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We employ Activity Assistants.
Being the only Eden Alternative home in the South East area, we provide a number of creative activities for our residents that include children, plants and animals. Harbourview Care Center has several daycare centers that visit every week. We believe this program gives the children early appreciation and understanding of people with disabilities and limited lifestyles. The children enjoy visiting with our residents and are always ready to offer hugs and kisses!
Harbourview Care Center is home to many dogs, cats, guina pigs, birds, fish and rabbits. The residents can help care for the pets if they wish. They assist in brushing, feeding and walking the animals. To find out more about the Eden Alternative, call us anytime.
We have a wheelchair van that goes out during the week. You will see our residents anywhere from Galveston to the Kemah Boardwalk. We take pride in taking our residents out into the community in hopes of them gaining independance and self-worth.
To meet our residents spiritual needs, HVCC offers several praise and worship services during the week and on Sundays. We also have volunteers that participate in bible study classes.
Individual programming ensures that all residents who are unable and/or unwilling to participate in group programs have consistent, goal-oriented and individualized recreation opportunities.
