While it may seem impossible to reside anywhere for 1, 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years for only $1,200, that is exactly the value-added living benefit that Hermann Sons members can expect as long as they are able to care for themselves. It is one of the most generous fraternal benefits offered by the Order. For an admission fee of $200 and naming the Home as beneficiary of $1,000 of your Hermann Sons insurance policy, you can have the safe, secure, carefree lifestyle we all dream of.

Provisions for admission state that an applicant must have been a member in good standing for at least the past three consecutive years, must be 65 years of age or older, be in good health in the professional opinion of the Grand Physician upon applying for admission, and must have paid at least 20 annual premiums (or a single premium) on a Hermann Sons insurance certificate, other than term insurance. Spouses who are not members themselves may join their loved one at the Home for a lump sum payment of $10,000 or with the purchase of a single-premium life insurance policy.

Dedicated in 1916, the Home offers a comfortable environment. When you move into the Home, you can forget about cooking another meal or doing the dishes or cleaning floors. You will be served three nutritious, tasty meals in the spacious, airy dining room. Activities are varied with lots of opportunities for fun and fellowship with the other residents. Surrounded by majestic trees, flowerbeds and hanging baskets, the Retirement Home also includes a chapel where occasional ecumenical services are held.
