Designed with the deaf and hard of hearing in mind and located in San Marcos, Texas near the Medical Center, the La Vista Retirement Community has much to offer the seniors of today. With 42 residential buildings, each with 4 separate apartment homes of various sizes, (1/1, 2/1 and 2/2) La Vista is sure to have exactly what you need. Each apartment home has central heat and air conditioning, coat closet, linen closet, pantry, front and rear doors, close proximity parking, ceiling fans, dishwasher (except in accessible units), disposal, washer/dryer hook-up and walk-in closets.
The Community Center boasts a large multi-purpose room for luncheons, parties and meetings complete with round tables, chairs and a large screen television. The lobby provides comfortable seating for conversations and there is a small library/reading room available as well. The Community Center provides a high speed internet connected computer for residents use and 2 Video Relay stations for ease in communicating with others outside the community. The beautiful pool is available to all residents year round.
A Beauty Salon/Barber Shop is located on-site. Van service is provided for local shopping needs. Social functions are planned by residents and there are dancing and exercise classes available
